It still sounds funny to me — perhaps I have impostor syndrome —
but writing is what I do when I wake up, it is what I do at midday,
and it is what I do at night when I try to sleep and the muses will not let me rest
until I finish one novel, then another, then another…I am not complaining. On the contrary, I am very grateful.
My other selves, the ones from before, were neither happy nor enjoying what they did.
The self I am now is.

With a Master's in Cinema from the Málaga Film School, he is preparing his first film — a story connected to his novels that will be shot on location in Spain and Italy.

For many years, Mauricio Chaves-Mesén has worked obsessively on editing hundreds of classic books in English, systematizing Jules Verne’s novels across several languages, and translating more than one hundred books into Spanish. These include major works of New Thought and esotericism, as well as historically significant novels such as 1984, The Little Prince, and The Coming Race, together with the Arsène Lupin series for Editorial Planeta.
Tireless Traveler
"I have traveled the world many times, visiting sacred sites from Cusco to Stonehenge, from Egypt to Göbekli Tepe, from the stone spheres of Costa Rica to the Nazca lines, from the pyramids of Mexico to the temples of Bolivia, from the Great Wall of China to Angkor Wat… I have seen almost everything, I have walked the places that inspire my novels, I have felt what my characters must have felt. A secret: many of the stories that in my books seem like fantasy are part of a hidden reality."
